This year I made a super easy SWAP. To create your own, download the file below. Print it on card stock and cut each miniature recipe card out. Write you name and troop number on the back. Add a safety pin and you are ready for camp.

What separates American Heritage Girls from other girl youth organizations is the spiritual component. AHG encourages girls to strengthen their personal relationship with Christ as they grow to become women of integrity. As we grow in our relationship with Christ, we should become more Christ-like. Galations 5:22-23 gives us the fruit of the spirit that should be evident in our lives – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfullness, gentleness and self-control.
Personally, I still struggle with some of these. It is important for us and for our girls to understand what the fruit of the spirit is. For, as we allow the Holy Spirit to live in us, these will become more evident.
My sister asked me to make her a canvas to place in her home, above the couch. I opted to make three separate canvases that can be grouped together or separately.
All three have the same background. I began by painting them white. Then while the paint was still wet I added some light blue and blended it in. This created a sky / cloud like affect. Continue reading “Building a home”
