What separates American Heritage Girls from other girl youth organizations is the spiritual component. AHG encourages girls to strengthen their personal relationship with Christ as they grow to become women of integrity. This is evident not only in our Oath and Creed but, in several of the merit badges.
Daughter of the King merit badge is a perfect example of this. Throughout the badge girls spend time studying scripture and complete different related activities. Psalms 119:11 commands us to hide scripture in our hearts. Requirement #28 for this merit badge has the girls paint a plaque with scripture.
