AHG Badge Work Organization
We have just finished our 4th year with American Heritage Girls. My daughter and I love it. It seems like just yesterday Lily was a cute little Tenderheart; Now she is a Pioneer.
Over the last four years she has earned 84 merit badges, and countless fun patches. Due to my husband’s job, we have been involved in four different troops (each in a different state). People often ask me how we keep up with all her work. We use a notebook. For each level she has a one inch, three-ring binder.

Getting “buggy” – Zoology #7

It allowed us to zoom in and observe details and if they scurried away before we could identify them all was not lost. Continue reading “Getting “buggy” – Zoology #7″

As a child we all dream about the job we will have as an adult. The American Heritage Girl program encourages girls to learn about different careers.
Young Meteorologist at the Tenderheart level has the girls observe and record the weather that they experience. Requirement #3 compares actual rain amounts to that of the average rain fall for your area. Continue reading “Young Meteorologist #3”
