Have you ever noticed that every place you go there is a gift shop, and you cannot leave without walking through it. As homeschoolers who travel a lot we have been to a lot of unique places.
Years ago, the kids started collecting postcards at each place. We find them to be budget friendly and they do not create “too much” clutter. We have tried several different ways of displaying them, but none seem to work well… until now. Continue reading “Memory Board”
When Gary was about three he received a solid wood dresser. Well, it has been 12 years and it is showing a bit of wear. The dresser itself was in good condition but the exterior (especially the top) had experienced the love of a growing boy. I decided to re-finish it to bring it back to life and hopefully extend its life another 12 years.
The Home Care and Repair merit badge is one of my favorites, especially at the PiPa level. However, since Lily is an Explorer, completing this badge has eluded her. She has put it off because she could not find a project to build from wood that did not involve a kit. Finally, a decision was made – a simple bench for her American Girl Doll.
