I am a sucker for desserts, especially chocolate. One of my favorite “go-to” desserts is this Triple Chocolate Pound Cake.

Lemon Pound Cake
I adore Lemon Pound Cake. What’s not to love. A simple cake made using a box mix with the delicate taste of lemon. And it requires no icing. It’s perfect for dessert and for breakfast.
Mamaw’s Sour Cream Pound Cake
Recently, I found Mamaw’s recipe for Sour Cream Pound Cake. I had to give it a try. This is a traditional pound cake. While dense like a pound cake should be it has a delicate flavor.
It is great on its own or topped with strawberries and whipped cream. Mamaw used to place slices in the toaster oven and toast them slightly for a breakfast treat.
For the budding artist
We all have an artist within us. Some of us are just fortunate enough to have found it.
I was recently asked to make a cake for a friend whose daughter was turning 7. She was having a little birthday party at one of the local painting stores, where the girls got to paint a project to take home. I was excited by the opportunity to play with my cake decorating toys.
Easter Cake
I have a few distinct memories from Easter growing up – one is that my mother always made the same coconut cake. While I am not a huge fan of coconut, I insist on making this cake for my family every year.
The cake begins with a basic white cake mix straight from the box, the way my momma always did. She was never into making cakes from scratch. It is topped with my favorite – a Fluffy Marshmallow Frosting, and decorated with green coconut and jelly beans.
