The other day I received a phone call from my sister. She was working on a cake for my niece’s birthday. This was to be her first fondant cake. She had been to several stores in search of gum paste glue, and was getting frustrated because no one had any in stock.
Gum paste glue is used anytime you adhere two pieces of fondant (or gum paste) together. And much to my sister’s surprise you can actually make it.

Our theme for this year’s AHG Summer camp is centered around launching a new era for the camp. We will be launching many things during the week including rockets. The girls attending camp will have the opportunity to complete the Living and Working in Space Merit Badge.

We have come to the end of the hiking cupcake series. And I have been saving the best for last. Today, I want to feature the backpack and hiking stick cupcake topper.

While we know that “Not all who wander are lost”, but most of them are. A map is a critical piece of equipment for any trip. Hiking is not an exception. This map and compass fondant cupcake topper was included in the set of cupcakes I made for my son’s 50 mile hike.
