AHG Badge Help – Bible Basics #21

As I shared previously, our PiPa unit has just finished the Bible Basics merit badge.  To complete requirement #21 we examined the life of Priscilla.

Priscilla and her husband, Aquila, appear seven times in the New Testament.  They were not only involved in Paul’s ministry and traveled with him, they were also teachers of the word.

In preparing to lead this discussion on Priscilla I found two resources helpful to me.  The first was on Bible Gateway (here).  It provided me with understanding of the times and how it related to other scripture passages.  I also found a blog post by Angel Penn (here).  She laid out in a clear manner four things she learned from Priscilla.

Using the research I did and several hours of study, I created a worksheet for our PiPas as they looked at the life of Priscilla.  The worksheet has the girls examine each of the six time Priscilla appears in the bible and what we can learn from that passage.  I also included additional scripture references to show where a particular characteristic is encouraged.

If you would like to use this work sheet you can download the pdf file here, or click on the image above.  The pdf file includes both the student sheet and a teachers sheet with the words filled in.

I hope you find these resources helpful.  If you are looking to complete the Bible Basics merit badge, check out these additional resources.

NOTE: The requirements have been simplified here. Please be sure to read the full text in the Girl Handbook to make sure you fully understand the requirements.
