As I shared previously, our PiPa unit has just finished the Bible Basics merit badge. To complete requirement #21 we examined the life of Priscilla.
Priscilla and her husband, Aquila, appear seven times in the New Testament. They were not only involved in Paul’s ministry and traveled with him, they were also teachers of the word.
In preparing to lead this discussion on Priscilla I found two resources helpful to me. The first was on Bible Gateway (here). It provided me with understanding of the times and how it related to other scripture passages. I also found a blog post by Angel Penn (here). She laid out in a clear manner four things she learned from Priscilla.
Using the research I did and several hours of study, I created a worksheet for our PiPas as they looked at the life of Priscilla. The worksheet has the girls examine each of the six time Priscilla appears in the bible and what we can learn from that passage. I also included additional scripture references to show where a particular characteristic is encouraged.
