In preparation for an upcoming multi-troop event, I led a Badge Bash for our Pioneer and Patriot girls. We focused on the Dawn of Our Country Merit badge.
We discussed the writing of the Declaration of Independence and the great sacrifices our founding fathers made.
I introduced the topic with a YouTube video by Paula Priesse, found here. While this one video did not complete the requirement, it was a great launching point for discussion. Our founding fathers risked everything to create the country we love today.
