When we lived in Florida we had a pair of geese that nested in our yard every spring. “Our” pair of geese have returned to the same nesting spot for at least 3 years.
Geese are one of many migratory birds in the US. Many species of ducks, herons and humming birds also migrate. And let’s not forget the Emperor Penguin. The Bible even references bird migration in Jeremiah 8.
The Our Feathered Friend Merit Badge has the girls study the migration pattern of a bird. They are to color the route on a world map. In order to help you complete this requirement, I have created a printable file for you. If you would like to use this handout, click on the image below to download the pdf file or click here.
Don’t forget to add your printout to your AHG notebook.
If you are trying to complete this badge, I have also posted these merit badge aids:
NOTE: The requirements have been simplified here. Please be sure to read the full text in the Girl Handbook to make sure you fully understand the requirements.
