AHG Badge Help – Our Feathered Friends #7

When we lived in Florida we had a pair of geese that nested in our yard every spring.  “Our” pair of geese have returned to the same nesting spot for at least 3 years. IMG_6899

Geese are one of many migratory birds in the US. Many species of ducks, herons and humming birds also migrate. And let’s not forget the Emperor Penguin.  The Bible even references bird migration in Jeremiah 8.

The Our Feathered Friend Merit Badge has the girls study the migration pattern of a bird. They are to color the route on a world map.
