Lily has recently began working on her Archery merit badge. Previously, she has had a few basic archery lessons at AHG events, but nothing of substance. AHG Badge Help – Bible Basics #3
As we grow in our relationship with Christ, we should become more Christ-like. Galations 5:22-23 gives us the fruit of the spirit that should be evident in our lives – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfullness, gentleness and self-control.
Personally, I still struggle with some of these. It is important for us and for our girls to understand what the fruit of the spirit is. For, as we allow the Holy Spirit to live in us, these will become more evident.

The teacher in me loves the science related badges. As we homeschool, I find that our curriculum often overlaps with badge work. This experiment is a classic example of one that we performed in “school”.

AHG Badge Help – 20th Anniversary Patch #6
Did you enjoy the AHG 20th Anniversary Convention as much as we did? My daughter and I had a blast. In addition to the workshops, we also enjoyed seeing old AHG friends from around the country. Having been part of 4 AHG troop in 4 different states, I have many AHG friends that I only see on facebook or at this type of event.
Now that we are home and have recovered from the trip my daughter and her friends are excited to earn the 20th Anniversary Patch. Most of the girls completed a couple of the requirements while at National, so I am teaching a workshop this summer to help them complete it so they can wear their autographed patch on their uniform when the troop resumes meetings in September.
