Living in Northeast Florida, we are surrounded by lizards. Every time I step out the front door, I hear the little critters rustling in the leaves. It has taken me a while to get used to them. The good news is they seem to keep the insect population under control. When I saw this free pattern on Ravelry, I knew I had to knit one.

Snowman Ornament
I found a cute snowman ornament on Ravelry, and knew I wanted to make one. So onto the needles he went.
I’m being over run by hamsters
After knitting 9 of these little guys, I feel like my house is being overrun with hamsters. Using small amounts of scrap yarn (12 yards for each body and 1.5 yards for the ears, feet and tail) they knitted up quick and easy.
The eyes were made by adding small black glass beads. The ears were knitted using a long tail cast on method. The tails from the ears were pulled through the body and tied to form the feet and tail. I must say the feet and tail made them adorable.
The pattern was created by Emily Stoneking and can be found on Ravelry here.
Happy Knitting.
I’ll be “GNOME” for Christmas
The Pioneer and Patriot unit had an ornament exchange at their Unit Christmas Party. Each girl was asked to make an ornament. I found this cute guy and had to make one.
A bear named Boo Boo
When given the opportunity to test knit for Stana’s – Critters again I jumped at the chance. This cute bear is part of a collection that she is working on that should be released the first part of 2015. My kids named him Boo Boo, after Yogi’s friend.
I absolutely loved the head of this fellow. The outline for the muzzle makes it a little more realistic.
Once the pattern is released I will update this post for those interested.
