My guest room doubles as my craft room. In addition to storing my endless stash of yarn, and a closet full of supplies, it contains a twin size bed. I wanted the bed covers to reflect my crafty side, so I decided to make a rag quilt for it.

This past summer, I taught the Textile Arts Merit Badge at summer camp to an amazing group of Pioneers. In addition to making several textile art projects we learned about the history of quilt making.

I inherited my love for quilts and quilting from my grandmother. This summer I taught the Textile Arts badge to a group of Pioneers. To go along with the class, I also made quilt block SWAPS. Each SWAP contains a mini quilt block along with a tag. Continue reading “Quilt SWAPS”
