This summer has renewed my love for teaching. Between summer camp, badge bashes and day camp, I have had plenty of opportunities. In preparing to teach the classes, I am learning a ton! Hopefully some of the resources I found will help you.
Our Constitution is one of the newer AHG badges. In my opinion, it is a pretty tough badge to earn especially at the Pioneer / Patriot level. But it is very important that we learn the history of our country. Continue reading “AHG Badge Helps – Our Constitution #1”
I have already shared my Texas themed SWAP, now on to the SWAPS that match my classes. I previously shared that I feel like a honey bee flitting from flower to flower. The classes I taught are quite an eclectic mix. First up, Explorer Cake Decorating.

SWAPS do not have to be complicated or expensive to make.
This year I made a super easy SWAP. To create your own, download the file below. Print it on card stock and cut each miniature recipe card out. Write you name and troop number on the back. Add a safety pin and you are ready for camp.

One of my favorite parts of summer camp is SWAPS. My inner child, loves the idea. As a badge counselor I end up making a different SWAP for each day. When my OCD, type A personality meets my crafty side it is “go big or go home”. Leading up to camp I make several hundred SWAPS. (If I have totally lost you, go here before reading on).
