Mamaw’s Sour Cream Pound Cake

Recently, I found Mamaw’s  recipe for Sour Cream Pound Cake.  I had to give it a try. This is a traditional pound cake. While dense like a pound cake should be it has a delicate flavor.

It is great on its own or topped with strawberries and whipped cream.  Mamaw used to place slices in the toaster oven and toast them slightly for a breakfast treat.

Getting “buggy” – Zoology #7

ZoologyWhat girl out there does not enjoy collecting bugs? My daughter is a little bit of a “tom boy” so Zoology merit badge requirement #7 was not a horrible chore.

Armed with my camera, she set out to find bugs.  This way “no insects were harmed in the completion of this badge”. The camera was an amazing tool.
