Before I put away my Christmas decorations, I wanted to share a project that I have been enjoying all season long!
I created a set of 4 appliqued Christmas inspired pocket pillow covers to dress up my couch. Each pillow has the same black backing and white front, but each applique is a little different.
I began with some holiday images I found online. Using some scrap fabric I had, along with iron-on adhesive, I was able to create the appliques. I used some Sherpa fabric to create the fuzzy mitten cuffs.
When I created my fall pillows (here) I used a blanket stitch around the edges, this time I simply stitched around each piece to help re-enforce the adhesive.
Even though I am packing them away till December, I look forward to using them again. I just need to create a set of Valentine pillows now.
