I took the plunge!

Well, the day I always knew was coming, has arrived!

I took the plunge!

I bought my first pattern!

Now I know what you are thinking … I have been knitting for 6 years and have never purchased a pattern.  With so many wonderful free patterns available online (and a few books borrowed from the local library), I have never felt the need to purchase knitting patterns – until now.

While at a local craft store I found Knitted Flowers (Twenty to Make) by Susie Jones in the clearance section.  At the time I had no idea what I would use the book for, but I could not resist purchasing the book.  So I spent $0.57 (plus tax).  No, that is not a typo – the book was marked down from $9.99 to $0.57.

When I arrived home I spotted this adorable cactus flower pattern.   While I’m still not sure when I will use the other 19 patterns in the book. I can sleep easy knowing that I got my money’s worth and now have an adorable cactus that I cannot kill.

Happy Knitting!
