I mentioned last week that I was working on a set of baby hats that are going to be donated to a local crisis pregnancy center. Even though the weather is getting warmer (at least in my part of the world), I hope they will be enjoyed by a precious little one when fall arrives in a few months.
For my first hat, I began with a free pattern by Iryna B.(here). Using worsted weight yarn, this tiny hat knitted up quickly. A tiny amount of brown and green from my left-over bits of yarn added the perfect finishing touches.
I did opt to crochet the leaf on top. I began with a YouTube video (here). The instructions have you crochet both sides of your original chain. However, I was pleased with the look and stopped half-way through. This created the size leaf I needed.
Happy Knitting!
