My daughter and I were excited to find a cute sewing project that she could make to include in our troops Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. Using up my stash of scrap fabric she was able to make these adorable hair ties.
We began with a free pattern found on the Oliver + S website. After making a few, we determined the pattern was a little short and we extended the pattern in the middle.
My daughter really enjoyed making these. Not only were they easy to make, they were also not very time consuming.
These would make great Stocking Stuffers or make a few for your personal use.
Half-way through the project we realized that it meets the requirement #24 of the sewing merit badge.
