This month, I am trying to clean out all of my old files. I often have projects that I have completed, and photographed, but failed to share them on my blog.
My daughter made this reversible doll skirt as an Explorer in order to complete her sewing merit badge.
She began with a free pattern from You Can Make This.com.
The pattern uses less than 1/4 yard of two different fabrics and a little bit of velcro. This was a great pattern for a newbie, but could also be used by an experienced seamstress to create a wardrobe for your favorite 18 inch doll.
Lily used this project to fulfill the Sewing Merit Badge requirement #16
NOTE: The requirements have been simplified here. Please be sure to read the full text in the American Heritage Girl Handbook to make sure you fully understand the requirements.
