What’s not to love about a thick warm hat, that knits up quickly and comes from a free pattern? Nothing!!!
Using Lion Brand Wool-Ease yarn (80% acrylic, 20% wool), I completed this hat in one night. The pattern has a standard 2×2 rib border and a stockinette stitch body. A simple K2tog decrease ended the hat with little effort. For an added touch I added a pom-pom in a complementary color.
I did make one change to the hat, and decreased the body of the hat, so the rim does not fold up.
