Easy Charity Hat

Are you enjoying my hat series? I have really enjoyed making them. It has really kept me busy these past few months. If you are joining the series mid way through, I am knitting over a dozen hats to help Craft Hope in collecting items for orphans in Kenya. It is not too late for you to join. To find out more information check out the Craft Hope website (here).

Now on to today’s hat…

Easy Charity Hat

This free pattern came from Nat Red Knit’s Blog here. The title of the hat attracted my attention. This was a quick knit and comes in a variety of sizes.

Using my size 8 needles and some pink bulky yarn left over from the Zig-Zag Blanket.  I completed this hat in one day.  It has a basic 2×2 rib band and several inches on stockinette. The decrease created a box like top with four corners coming together. Personally I think the body of the hat was a little tall so I will decrease the stockinette portion if I knit any more using this pattern.
