A girl-friend brought me my first Chocolate Cloud Cake one day after I had eye surgery. My family was away for the weekend and I managed to eat the WHOLE THING before they returned. I knew I had to get her recipe. When I did, I realized how simple it was and could not have been happier. Are you ready?
CHOCOLATE CLOUD CAKE
1 chocolate fudge cake mix
1 pint heavy cream
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Bake in an 8-inch round cake pan. Allow to cool.
In a heavy mixer beat remaining ingredients till they form a stiff peaks (5-7 minutes). This forms a “frosting”
Place 1/3 of frosting between the layers and the remaining on the top and side.
Keep refrigerated.
