When I stumbled upon this little guy, I knew I had to knit him. Since tomorrow is World Kindness Day, I felt now was the perfect time to share him with you. Continue reading “Kindness Monster”

A Pair of Slippers
Socks have been on my to-knit-list for a while now. I even have a lovely skein of yarn in my stash that I am saving for my first pair. I decided to start with a pair of slippers instead.
Many of the patterns I have found for slippers involve seaming and I HATE SEAMS! I was super excited to find a free pattern that did not involve seams and were knit as one solid piece. Continue reading “A Pair of Slippers”
Bumble Bee
Today’s knitting project is an adorable little bumblebee.
I found a set of free patterns from Valley Yarns of animals made from a simple ball.
This ball was knitted in the round with yellow and black stripes. After stuffing the ball, tiny wings were knitted flat and added to the sides. The addition of two 6/0 beads and an embroidered mouth completed this quick project.
If you would like to make your own, you can download the pattern here.
Happy Knitting.
Some Bunny Loves You
Today I’m sending you lots of love with the help of this little bunny.
I began with a free pattern, by Sara Elizabeth Kellner, I found on Ravelry. The pattern began at the neck and knitted in the round to the tail. The cast on stitches were then picked up to knit the head and ears. I added a pair of 6/0 black beads for eyes.
The original pattern included attachable legs that I omitted. I did add a little pom pom tail to finish him off.
If you would like to knit your own bunny the pattern can be found here.
Happy Knitting.
Bumble Bee Hat
Last week I shared the Little Flower Hat featuring a beautiful ribbon rose (here). The original pattern showed a few variations that sparked my creativity.
I have seen other bee hats on Pinterest, but none of the patterns were free. With a few tweaks to Marji LaFreniere’s original pattern, I had my own Bumble Bee Hat. Continue reading “Bumble Bee Hat”
