To all southerners, cornbread is a dietary staple. While the box of Jiffy Cornbread does work, it tends to be very sweet. For the same amount of work, you can create your own country style cornbread.
Today is officially the first day of fall. Even though the kids are back to school, the weather has not turned cool (or at least not here in Texas). To help get you in the fall mood, I want to share my mother’s pumpkin bread recipe with you.
This makes a wonderful breakfast, or after school treat.
Fall is officially upon us. That means time for apples, and pumpkin and all sorts of warm comfort food. This past week, the local grocery store had apples on sale for $0.50 per pound. Yes, I did come home with a few pounds of apples.
