Red bird

With my overloaded summer schedule, I did not get as much knitting completed as I had hoped.  But when I received a call from my favorite organization asking for a basket of knit “critters”, I knew it was time to get busy.

This weeks knitting project is an adorable little bird designed by Rebecca Danger.  I loved that the body was knitted in the round.  Before attaching the knit wings and beak, I added a set of 6/0 beads for the eyes.

A Pair of Slippers

Socks have been on my to-knit-list for a while now.  I even have a lovely skein of yarn in my stash that I am saving for my first pair.  I decided to start with a pair of slippers instead.

Many of the patterns I have found for slippers involve seaming and I HATE SEAMS!  I was super excited to find a free pattern that did not involve seams and were knit as one solid piece.   Continue reading “A Pair of Slippers”
