I know many of you shy away from the badges in the Supplemental Handbook. While the requirements seem to be more challenging, when broken down into smaller pieces they are doable. My PiPa unit is currently tackling the Pen and Paper Merit Badge. Continue reading “AHG Badge Help – Pen and Paper #25”

Green Glass Cross
Each year for Christmas my sister and I exchange handmade items. I love that we share a love for all things handmade. This year I made my sister a glass cross suncatcher.
To create this piece, I foil wrapped and soldered glass baubles from the craft store.
If you like this project, check out this cross I made previously (here).
Tic Tac Toe SWAP
The next easy SWAP that I included in the SWAP kits I made for camp was a Tic Tac Toe in a bag SWAP. If you have ever looked on Pinterest, you will find dozens of these SWAPS. They are not very hard to make and this is not a new idea, but I hope you find the printable tag helpful.
Into a 2×3 inch plastic jewelry bag place 10 pony beads (5 of each color) along with the tag. Just be sure to write your name and troop number on the back of each SWAP tag.
Make a Joyful Noise
Every year at camp there is at least one new girl who has no idea what a SWAP is. Then there are those who ran out of time before camp to make any, or worse, they made them but left them at home on the kitchen table. This summer the camp directors asked me to put together SWAP kits to help those who did not have SWAPS to trade. Using paper lunch sacks, I placed all of the supplies to create 15-25 SWAPS with a sample pinned to the outside of the bag. All of them were super easy, inexpensive, and needed no detailed instructions. I thought I would share these super easy SWAPS with you.

Jigsaw Puzzle SWAP
WOW this year has flown by. I can’t believe there are only a few weeks left in 2019. December has really snuck up on me. I realized that I never posted any SWAPS from this summer, so instead of focusing on Christmas ideas and projects, I will be spending the month of December blogging all of my SWAPS from this summer.
