AHG Badge Help – Insect-a Inspect-a #17

Now that I’m home from summer camp I dream of knitting. But instead of relaxing with the rhythm of the needles, I’m preparing for our troop’s PiPa Badge Bash.

Requirement 17 requires the PiPa to research an insect that is harmful to crops or people, and share the information with your unit. I am assigning each girl a different insect to research. If you are working on this badge, here is a list for you to pick from to get you started.

  • Aphids
  • Asian Citrus Psyllids
  • Asian ladybug
  • Boll Weevil
  • Bot flies
  • Citrus Long Horned Beetle
  • Colorado Potato Beetle
  • Deer Tick
  • Emerald Ash Borer
  • Japanese Beetle
  • Kissing bug
  • Leaf Curl Aphid
  • No See Ums
  • Oriental Rat Fleas
  • Oyster Shell Scale
  • Screwworm
  • Silverfish
  • Termite

NOTE: The requirements have been simplified here. Please be sure to read the full text in the Girl Handbook to make sure you fully understand the requirements.
