When pigs fly!

Did you know that the phrase “When pigs fly!” originated from a Scottish Proverb…

Pigs may fly, but it is not likely.

While this delightful guy may never take flight, he did fly off my knitting needles.

Thanks to Susan Anderson, and her free pattern, this guy knitted up in no time.  I loved the fact that he was knitted in the round. I opted to use poly-fil to stuff this pig, but the pattern was written to be able to hold a Hi-Bounce Pinky Ball. When placed correctly, the four short legs allow him to stand freely with his snout in the air.  You can find the free pattern here.

If you are looking for a larger pig to knit, check out this pig I knitted last year.

Happy Knitting!
