Spring Break in Washington DC

I have had several requests to update my list of badge requirements that can be covered while in the DC area.  With the Annual Cherry Blossom Festival and Spring Break around the corner, I thought now would be a great time.

Having family in the DC area has allowed us to visit on multiple occasions.  Every time we go we find something we missed before.  There is so much to do, that it is not possible to visit all of the places. Garden cake

Everything is growing great! This year for my daughter’s birthday she requested a garden.

My daughter’s green thumb did not come from me. I think she inherited it from her great-grandmother (that gene definitely skipped a few generations). She has a passion for anything green. So when she requested a garden cake, I was happy to oblige.  This is the closest I will ever get to a weed-free garden full of goodies. Continue reading “Garden cake”

Glass flower

So I have completely fallen in love with glass baubles.  Now when I get lost in the craft store my husband does not know if I’m in the yarn section fingering my way down the isle or in the mosaic section drooling over all the different colors.

This little flower was created for my daughter who recently redecorated her room.
