Shell Necklace

We love living in Florida. While the rest of the country survived a record amount of snow this year, we have watched the azaleas bloom in January. My kids wear shorts 10 months a year and we enjoy the beach all year-long. Even if you do not live in Florida, odds are if you enjoy going to the beach. And you probably have a stash of shells the kids have collected that you do not know what to do with. Why not use them to make cute jewelry while working on the Creative Crafts merit badge.

Tiny Tim

I had a little monkey, his name was Tiny Tim…   Are you familiar with this nursery rhyme? It is one my hubby has taught me. Tiny Tim is the perfect name for this little guy, as he is less than 4 inches tall. monkeyI found this free pattern here on Ravelry. I used #3 needles and less than 45 yards of worsted weight yarn. He is knitted flat and then sewn together. I changed the eyes by using 6/0 glass beads instead of embroidering them as the pattern recommended.

Happy Knitting

I had a little monkey; his name was Tiny Tim.

I put him in the bathtub to see if he could swim.

He drank up all the water. He ate up all the soap.

Now my little monkey, has a bubble in his throat.
